What Customers Say About Need for Speed: Prostreet:

Good to do free races but career mode is very bad. The races are fun but, bad career mode, lame and next to imposable to beat. Please go to http://www.cmjreviews.blogspot.com/ for reviews for this game and other games too.

But you get bored of it real quick especially when certain parts are very challenging to complete such as a Hydralics part of the race. Overall it has OK graphixs and good music but I think it's better to buy this game USED or find it in a discount bin. This game isn't like he PC version but still as challenging. I have no idea how to complete those.

But overall I think it's worth the buy. But the racing can keep you occupied for quite awhile and some can be quite challenging. My brother has this for the PC and sadly I dont have a computer that is capable of running the PC version so I thought I'd try the DS version. It's alot of FUN and minus the annoying announcer in the PC version it aint much different aside from the graphics not being so clean. I think Hydraulics are the hardest thing to complete in this game.

All in all, if you're in the market for a more than solid street racing game on the go and you own a DS, Need for Speed: Prostreet is definitely more than worth a look. Like the other versions of the game, EA's licensed soundtrack blasts throughout the game, and is sounds good on the DS' small speakers. Where Prostreet shines is with the surprisingly smooth graphics, albeit there is a somewhat choppy framerate, but regardless the game and cars look surprisingly good. The custom vinyl editor from last year's Need for Speed: Carbon is gone, and the game's story isn't as coherent as what as what we've seen in the last couple NFS installments, but these gripes are relatively minor for the most part. The Need for Speed series has been getting better on the DS with every progressing year, and Need for Speed: Prostreet is no different. Undoubtedly the best NFS game to hit the DS yet, Prostreet offers a variety of race and play modes, as well as local Wi-Fi and online race modes (eight players with a single cartridge., sign me up) to boot as well. The game flows well and controls easy enough too, but Prostreet isn't without it's flaws.
